Share:

Get to know the Hamilton Harbour a little better this spring and summer with today’s post from Hazelview Properties. Hazelview’s 175 Hunter Street Community is nestled into a quiet residential neighbourhood full of beautiful tree-lined streets and parks, and is just minutes from the bustling Hess Village.

About the Harbour

Hamilton Harbour lies at the western tip of Lake Ontario and is separated naturally from the lake by a sandbar. This naturally protected harbour offers 45 kilometres of stunning shoreline that is home to many commercial, industrial and residential areas. The Hamilton Harbour is a 20-minute transit ride from Hazelview’s 175/205 Hunter Street Community.

Hamilton Waterfront Trolley Tour

The Hamilton Waterfront Trolley is 37-passenger rubber tired trackless trolley that gives people the opportunity to travel the Hamilton Waterfront Trail and explore the area. This 12-kilometre trail follows the shoreline of the western portion of the harbour. Along the way you will see active marine and rail operations, marinas and sailing, children’s play facilities, historic bridges and stunning shoreline views. The conductor of the trolley will provide narrated commentary as you explore the Hamilton Harbour.

Hamilton Tour Boar

The Hamilton Tour Boat is a 15-passenger tour boat that offers a narrated 60-minute tour of the Hamilton Harbour. Along the way the captain of the boat will provide guests with interesting stories and the history of one of North America’s most noteworthy harbours. The tour provides unique views of the natural, recreational and industrial faces of Hamilton.

The Waterfront Trail

Explore the Waterfront Trail on foot or by bicycle to get some exercise and to enjoy some of the best views in the city. The Waterfront Trail is a 3.4-kilometre multi-use trail that makes its way along the shore from Bayfront Park to Princess Point. Enjoy a hike, leisurely walk with your pooch or family picnic along the Waterfront Trail in Hamilton. This trail connects to the Trans Canada Trail and the Lake Ontario Waterfront Trail in Burlington.
