Cherry Beach
Head over to Cherry Beach where you can enjoy the view and your dogs can run around in a huge off-leash area. You can get there by car, bus or subway. It’s located in the Port Lands, just south of Lakeshore and Don Roadway Street. Cherry Beach is a great place to spend the day with your dog without any worries. Just sit back, relax and let them roam free!
Silver Birch Park
Silver Birch Park is another popular park for dog owners. It is beautiful and spacious, with lots of land for your dogs to enjoy and discover -- especially on a gorgeous summer day. It’s located in the east end of the city, just south of Queen Street and Nursewood Street. There’s parking in the area, too. You can get there easily by car or public transportation.
Earl Bales leash free dog park
Earl Bales is a large park located in North York. There is a large off-leash area for dogs as well as playgrounds, splashpads, walking trails and picnic sites. The off-leash area is fenced off -- so you don’t have to worry about your canine friend running away. Earl Bales Park is a great place to spend the day with friends, family and your dogs!
Trinity Bellwoods Park
Trinity Bellwoods is a local favourite. Located just east of Ossington Street, between Dundas and Queen, this park is the best hang out spot in the city. Head over to the park on a weekend and spend the day lounging, playing games or let your dog run wild in the dog pit. If they need a drink, they get one at the dog fountain. Maybe they’ll meet a few furry friends along the way, too!
Monarch Park
If you’re looking for a park near the Danforth, check out Monarch Park. This beautiful and clean 12-acre community park is easily accessible by subway and offers an off-leash area. You can get some exercise with your dog by exploring the rolling hills and going for a hike. Once your pooch gets tired of running around, head over to Black Lab Brewing. It's a brewery that allows dogs! Enjoy your favourite ale alongside your dog, but make sure they are on a leash at all times.
