A new festival is happening near our Hamilton apartments that you will not want to miss. Learn more about the winter festival that is coming to town in today’s post from the Hazelview Properties blog team.
What is Frost Bites?
Frost Bites is a site-specific winter theatre festival showcasing the city’s hottest local artists. This includes filmmakers, dancers, actors, playwrights and choreographers, just to name a few. In total, there are seven artistic companies that are contributing to make the festival possible.
How it works
Each of the seven participating companies has been assigned a specific colour. Upon arriving at Frost Bites, festival goers will choose a colour-coded flag. There are only as many flags as there are seats for that company’s show. Five minutes before the show starts, guests from each colour will be guided to the place that their show is being held. Shows will repeat multiple times over the course of the evening, meaning you can see more than one amazing production.

Ready to experience this unique event? Mark your calendar for February 11th through the 14th. On the 11th, 12th and 13th, shows run from 7:00 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. Closing day, shows will run from 1:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. The festival is taking place on the historic grounds of The Cotton Factory (270 Sherman Avenue North), less than a 10-minute drive from Mainwell Apartments (23 Spring Street).
