There are plenty of great restaurants to check out no matter where you are in Canada. To help you dig in across the country, Hazelview Properties has 5 top picks for you to try this summer.

Sand and Pearl Oyster Bar

If you love oysters, you have to stop by Sand and Pearl Oyster Bar. Located in Picton, this roadside seafood restaurant will exceed your expectations in so many ways. From fresh oysters, lobster rolls and Fogo Island crab to beef burgers and farm-fresh vegetables, you’ll have one of the best meals of your life here! The laid-back vibe is the perfect place to hang out with friends, eat, enjoy live music and even enjoy yoga on the weekends. Plus, it’s located right next to Sandbanks Provincial Park!

Aloette

For a really unique experience, in a room decked out like a passenger train car, check out Aloette. Located in Toronto, this small gem on Spadina and Queen has a great atmosphere and delicious food. The restaurant seats only 38 people and doesn’t take reservations, so try to get there early in order to get a spot. You can find anything from cheeseburgers and beef tartar to lemon meringue pie and an apple pie sundae on the menu. Aloette is open every day for lunch and dinner.

Mon Lapin

If you like wine, you’re going to fall in love with Mon Lapin in Montreal. This small and bright space offers organic and biodynamic wine, as well as delicious and local food. Not only is the food flavourful but the presentation is fantastic. Located in Little Italy, Mon Lapin is a hotspot at the moment. They don’t take reservations, so make sure to get there early since it fills up fast. They are open Tuesday through Saturday for dinner.

Avenue

For a place with great ambiance, good service and mouth-watering food, don’t miss Avenue. Located in Regina, this spot is perfect for a special occasion or an everyday dinner. The restaurant space is quite beautiful, with industrial, art deco and rustic elements. When it comes to food, you can expect dishes like tacos, perogies, pastas, burgers and pretty much anything else your heart desires. They serve full-size meals as well as small plates and shareables.

Bündok

Look out for this hidden gem in downtown Edmonton. Bundock has a concise but fantastic menu which changes seasonally. Two items worth mentioning include their decadent deep fried chicken skins and indulgent beef tartar. They also have a great selection of wine, sourced from Canada and France, and are known for their exemplary service. If you’re looking for a great spot in Edmonton, this is it!
